Barakumo Odede advised Governor Dickson of Bayelsa state

METHOD OF APPOINTMENT BY THE GOVERNOR OF BAYELSA STATE HIS EXCELLENCY HON. HENRY SERIAKE DICKSON BY COMRADE BARAKUMO SOLOMON ODEDE.

At this point in time especially as the Governorship election approaches. The Governor needs to apply the Shovel method of appointing people.

We have two types of appointment and they are the HOE and the SHOVEL method of appointment.

The Hoe Method is the system which the persons store the resources for themselves alone and do not circulate it for the benefit of their followers and the rest. While Shovel method is a system the appointees circulate, spread and consider share to others what they are receiving.

Gov. Seriake Dickson at this point in time should apply the shovel method of giving appointments to people, especially at this time and not the hoe method kind of.
Now the Hoe method he has been introducing is wrong and he should take this advice if truely he wants to win the November 16th election, because most of the kind of appointees that he is giving, they don’t reach out to their followers and it is affecting the party and galvanizing of votes in every ward.
My candid advice is that his excellency should use the SHOVEL method because that is the best for now and for the party. This is because this type is the fastest method for reaching out to their followers-to-grassroots through the appointees and not the winner takes it all method (Hoe Method).
If the Governor applies the shovel method, the appointees can also distribute whatever (resources) that come to them to their followers especially in the grassroots and not by somebody’s recommendation.
I just feel like advising my countryman Governor.
